We have created biographies for several of the early McCargars to provide some idea of who our ancestors were. As with the History documents, the biographies were compiled from various records from diverse sources (including some family lore and ‘best guess’ theories).

The Internet has been a prime resource for locating documents, and we are regularly finding new information that changes what we thought we knew about our ancestors. If you have any information that supports or contradicts the material in these biographies, please let us know at: queries@mccargar.com (please provide sources where possible).
